Magnesium takes part in many bodily processes so it is essential to provide the amount our body needs. The recommended daily intake of magnesium according to NHS is 300mg for men and 270mg for women, although it is different in some countries - for example in United States it is 400-420mg for men (depending on age) and 310-360mg for women.
