PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
D-Mannose is a type of sugar that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables like: apples, peaches, berries, green beans and broccoli. It is important for our bodies as it plays a part in metabolism.
There have been some studies that tested the effect of D-Mannose on women who had suffered from Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) and it have shown improvements in some cases - it is believed that D-Mannose can stick to harmful bacteria in human urinary tract and block its growth, although these claims have not been approved by UK Food Standards Agency as not fully scientifically proven. However, D-Mannose, along with Cranberry is suggested by NHS* as a help in preventing reoccurring UTI and it is relatively safe to use unless you have diabetes.
