PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cod liver oil has been known and used for centuries, back to the times of Vikings. It has a high content of essential Omega-3 fatty acids: Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA). These acids cannot be produced by our bodies and we have to provide them with the food we eat. Foods that are rich in Omega-3 acids are fish (esp. mackerel, salmon, sardines, herring), flaxseed, walnuts, soybeans - do you eat these regularly? For example, you would have to eat at least 2 portions of fish (as recommended by NHS*) every week to provide as much Omega-3 as your body needs, remembering that fish (especially farmed one) can contain heavy metals that accumulate in your body.

The health benefit claims of Omega Fatty Acids from Cod Liver approved by Food Standard Agency are:
- • DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
- • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
- • EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
Our Cod Liver Oil supplement also contains vitamins A and D3. Vitamin A takes part in iron metabolism, maintenance of mucous membranes, skin and vision, immune system support; Vitamin D contributes to the health and strength of our muscles, bones and teeth and it also supports our immune system. The softgels are tasteless and they are easy to swallow. Vitamin E has been added in the production process as an antioxidant.
