Biotin (Vitamin B7) is one of the B vitamins. This water-soluble vitamin plays important role in many bodily processes. Biotin contributes to macronutrient- and energy-yielding metabolism, to normal functioning of the nervous system and psychological function; it is important in maintenance of mucous membranes and also plays a vital role in maintenance of hair and skin.
As our body only produces small amount of Biotin, we have to supply it in food we eat. Some of the foods rich in Biotin are: meat (especially chicken liver), egg yolks, dairy, fish (salmon, tuna), peanuts and sunflower seeds. Taking Biotin as a supplement is relatively safe as the excess gets flushed out by our body, therefore it is a popular supplement for people wanting to get extra help in maintaining their skin and hair - it is thought that Biotin can contribute to hair thickening, although it has not been scientifically proven.
Our very yummy, natural strawberry flavoured gummies contain a high dose of 5,000 microgram of biotin each, as a highly bioactive d-biotin. Available in 2 sizes: 60 and 150 gummies per pack, where the smaller one is a budget-friendly version if you want to test if the product is right for you; the large pack, with recommended daily dose of 1 - 2 gummies, provides supply for up to 5 months when taken regularly.
