PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Activated charcoal is a fine powder obtained from natural sources of carbon such as wood, peat or coconut shells. The porous surface area of activated charcoal powder has an ability to bind to toxins in the stomach and, as the charcoal is not absorbed in the body, it gets excreted with the toxins - therefore it is often used in emergency rooms to treat overdoses.
In a supplemental form, Activated charcoal contributes to reducing excessive flatulence after eating. This specific effect is obtained with 1g which should be taken at least 30 minutes before and 1g shortly after the meal. As our capsules contain 300mg of Activated Charcoal, the dose should be 4 capsules before and 4 after the meal.
Our Activated Charcoal supplement is in a form of easy to swallow capsules. The charcoal comes from a sustainable and one of its best sources: coconut shells. It is steam-activated thus the processing does not involve any chemicals. There are no binders or fillers added.
